Is your black grill a just a plain glossy black or is it Diamond Black Crystal Pearl? I just noticed mine has a metal flake in it so I assume it's Diamond Black Crystal Pearl and want to know if that is how it is suppose to be. My mirrors caps are just a plain glossy black.

Yes, the grille has metal flake and the mirrors don't.

Interesting. The mirrors on my truck have flake just like the grille. Here's a pic, but it's hard to see. The camera keeps focusing on the reflection of my phone instead of the mirror. Looks like dust in the pic, but that's the flake. There's no dust on the mirror cap.

I just went out and looked at mine and you're right.

I'll have to check mine again in the morning.

Matching Diamond black crystal on mirrors and grill.

However, I don’t understand why the “night” edition wheels are dark grey instead of black to match the mirrors and grill. I bought my truck sight unseen and that was the one thing I was disappointed with. I still love my truck, but one small pet peeve.

I think only the Limited Night edition have dark gray wheels. My Laramie and my buddy's Big Horn Night Editions have black wheels.

mine are DBCP on grille and mirrors as well, same as all the others

Definitely dbcp, and the wheels are matte black (on bighorn anyway). What chafes my keister is the fact that they still use chrome lug nuts. I know I could buy aftermarkets, I've just been too lazy to do so ha.
Yeah, that bugged me too, $50-70k trucks and they skimp on the lugs lol.

I was able to get some (black ones) on ebay for a good price.

I agree about the chrome lug nuts. My problem is finding some that will not rust after you put a socket on them. Most of them I've tried are just painted black. And the first time I torque them down the paint starts to chip off. Allowing rust to quickly start to form. At this point I'll wait until after winter to replace the chrome ones.

I did notice some light scuffing on mine right away. Hoping they do alright. Next option is to put colored caps on them, which was actually my first plan, until I realized that I'd either have to take them all off and put them all back on every time my tires get rotated, or make the dealer/shop do it, which I'd feel guilty about and would probably end up losing a couple that way every time lol.

So we'll see. If they start to rust within less than a couple of years I'll cap them, otherwise I'll just replace them.

Yep. I've noticed most of the OEM's put chrome lug nuts on black wheels and rust is probably the reason. I did a pretty thorough search for the best black lug nuts I could find, and it seems McGard is one of the few that have a lifetime guarantee against rust. I think the difference is the McGard black lug nuts are black chrome, not painted. They don't match the matte black wheel color as well as painted lug nuts, so I bought the shortest, spline type I could find, so they would be less noticeable.

I went with these because the description of the process they use made them sound like good quality. Could just be fluff though. I had these on my 2019 for close to 3 years with wheels on and off several times and they seemed to hold up pretty good. I bought another set for my 2021.

Sorry just double checked the link it should’ve taken you to 24 piece set but they’re currently unavailable so it’s redirecting to the 20 piece set.
Of course lol.

Thanks though, will keep these in mind when I check my lungs after my first rotation.
