I just lift the hood open as I dry my truck. After the first time washing it, I noticed the dried water streaks and was a little annoyed. I thought I had gotten all the water out but I guess not. Its especially noticeable on an all black truck.

I might just look for the drain holes you guys speak of and make them bigger or add an additional. Then coat the edges of said hole with rust preventative.

Rust preventative? Why? The drain holes are in the plastic. Not to mention the hood is made of aluminum. What are you trying to protect from rust?

As stated I have the vents I use my echo backpack blower that has a gutter cleaning extension and blow them out after washing.
Off topic here but I have to say you have one good looking truck! The color in the rims and boards just looks great. Nice combination.

You’re right. My mistake. I forget that they changed to aluminum hoods ever since the 4th gens. Anytime I think about drilling into a coated/painted metal, I immediately think about rust preventative lol

No worries LOL. I'm the same way. But even if the hood was steel you wouldn't have to worry about it. The section of hood beneath the hood vents is cut out. So you won't be drilling into metal even if you drill new holes. But the hood insulator is another story.
