Newby, My new 2019 3500 cummins transmission failed at 3000 miles

Hi all I finally bought my dream truck to haul a popup camper. I'm 3000 miles in and my 68rfe failed 3 weeks ago! took 2 weeks to get an appointment at my local dealer its now been there a week, there are chunks of metal in the pan and my dealer rep says it could take 3 weeks to fix he says the parts are "locked out by FCA" till a cause is established?
Absolutely no mods, super low load (1600lb camper) I'm so bummed, I escalated my claim to FCA 3 days ago and have heard nothing from my advisor, just trying to get a rental truck!

Well there goes my 68 confidence for this updated “generation”

I’m really sorry to hear about this. I wonder what caused it. Didn’t they (RAM FCA) proclaim a large update to the 68?
