New Uconnect firmware just rolled in 31.42 . Haven't had a chance to install yet. I'll get to it tonight. Hoping for full screen Android Auto finally...

Just checked the website for my 2023 Limited and got the ever popular
YOUR VEHICLE IS UP TO DATE

I have never, ever seen this site tell me there was an update.

AEC is the European imported of RAM trucks and the firmware is slightly modified compared to the US (different radio frequency etc.) But the firmware version always match the US versions. My previous firmware was 27.46 and currently the AEC website lets me download 31.42 My guess is that AEC cooperates with Stellantis on this and pulled the trigger faster than the US RAM branch did. I'll let you know in a bit the first impressions.

This is technically not a software update for 2022-2024 UC5 radio part numbers. It is the software that comes on 2025 UC5 radio modules. It might work on 2022-2024 radios, and I have it on the 2025 radio module installed in my 2019, but there’s no full screen android auto (and there never will be on a UC5 radio).

Jimmy07 knows all, but for Jimmy or others, for the 12" uconnect what is the latest USA update version for a 2024? I read somewhere it may be v 40.1?

My 2022 Laramie 12” shows FCA-MY22.S26.17-PROD and the Uconnect website says my unit is up to date. Is the Limited and Laramie versions different? I recently lost my camera system and rear park assist. What gives?

Any other impressions, good or bad? Got some things on the UC5 retrofit in my 2019 2500 that aren't working with my 12" cluster retrofit. Wondering if a software update will help.
Haven't had all that much time with the truck since the update. But from what I've noticed the navigation volume is saved after I start the truck the next day. Normally I was blasted with some default setting each time. Rear cam park lines have a center line now (didn't have this in 27.46 ) . Apart from that haven't noticed anything.

Malcolm or others, if you have a version newer than. 46, what's your version?

For the rear cam do you mean the dotted line in the center? I have had that in mine for as long as I can remember. I switched the display from assisted with curved lines to straight lines and it's always been there. I have 27.46 installed, but it was there for several previous versions. I'm that guy who drives to far end of the parking lot away from everyone else, and backs in between two spots and I puts the dotted line on the yellow painted line as I back in.
:)

Does anyone have the latest software for the UConnect 12 screen? I did this upgrade on my 2024 tradesmen 2500 and am needing to update the firmware, but UConnect website says it's up to date. wanted to see if anyone would happen to have the update that I could download? the android auto has a watermark (pre-production hardware not for sale). really hoping a software update would fix my issue. my current build number is fca-my23.t25.43
the head unit came off a 2023 ram 2500

I’ve seen this before, and it’s probably a radio module that was used for testing. I doubt your radio will take a production update, but you can try. This is the latest:
16gb USB stick format to fat32. Do not unzip or extract anything, just put the whole zipped folder onto the usb stick and plug it in.
My guess is it’s going to say software not compatible with vehicle.

does it have to be a 16 gig? I only have a 32 gig.
so if this does not work i will need a new module?
or an entire new unit?

That’s what i figured. Screen is fine, you just need another radio module.
