I just installed a solid fold on my 2023 Longhorn with Multi Function Tailgate. It works great! It goes get hot in out 110* heat. Use a rag to lift it.

I have the OEM soft cover...like a timpani drum on interstate. Considering Extang ALX solid, Sentry CT, Armor Flex/Ultraflex and Diamondback (but front panel on DB is 35"--lose a lot more bedspace than would seem with most)
Question on Extang ALX solid fold...
How deep is the front panel (how much bed you "loose" when folded back?)
How easy do they dent? Could I put a lawn chair on it, for instance and use it as a "viewing platform" without denting/marring it (being careful and maybe with a rug beneath, even)? -- thanks. BC

These are great questions! The Extang Solid Fold ALX Tonneau Cover is a tri-fold tonneau cover, so for a 6'4" bed each panel would be just over 2' wide. The 1" thick EnduraShield TPO panels resist impacts, abrasions, and UV exposure. Your cargo is protected during a hailstorm or if you accidentally drop your power tools on the surface. That being said, our weight ratings are an even distribution measurement. We don't recommend that you purchase this tonneau cover with the intent to use it as a platform for heavy objects.
