New Ram owner

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Hello all. Just switched from a Chevy Colorado to a 2019 ram 1500 hemi (non etorque)

Enjoying the truck so far. looking forward to seeing what it can do and learning tips and tricks.
I traded my Chevy Colorado in for a 2021 Laramie. What a difference, right?!

It’s a huge difference from my Colorado. Night and day!

my biggest concern with this truck it the fuel mileage. Almost went with the Pentastar 3.6 etorque this. However, after test driving, the v6 mpg was only 1 or 2 better than the hemi.

anything I can do to maximize MPG besides driving like a grandpa?

thanks

Stay out of the NYC metro area.

Sure will. I’m still trying to figure out the passive entry. It doesn’t seem to be working. The one where you grab the handle with the key in your pocket and it unlocks. Any ideas?

I believe you have keyless entry in the Big Horn (meaning you use the remote to open the door - no key). Passive entry (just touch the handle) is on the higher trim levels. HOWEVER it can be added. There is a long thread on the forum on how to change the harness and software.

Welcome and Congratulations!

I see. That’s disappointing 😢

Don’t drive it like a grandpa. Enjoy the HEMI. It’s made to take a beating. I found that enjoying the drive gives me about 2 MPG less if I drive it the way I want vs. babying it. Just live a little and enjoy the new truck! :D

I will enjoy it! I plan on doing a 2 inch front leveling kit. Haven’t searched the forum yet, but hopefully there’s a cheap and easy one out there I can do myself 🤞🏻

Welcome! Post pictures when you can. I recently picked up a 18 night edition. 4th gen's are still beautiful to me. I enjoying looking at members 5th gen rams. !
