New Laramie, less than a week and I'm already in a loaner...

Hey all, new member here! I picked up my new Laramie last week and discovered some issues with the wipers not functioning properly during a rain storm this weekend. Took it in to the dealer and apparently there is a newly discovered issue with the wiper that Chrysler doesn't yet have a fix for? They couldn't provide me with much info, just gave me loaner and told me that they didn't know how long it would be until it was fixed. Anyone hear anything about a new TSB involving the wiper system?

Wipers? You got off easy. Try squealing brakes, sticky steering, broken rear window frame, misaligned doors, wind noise, and on, and on.

There was a post is here back in April where someone had a similar problem. Their dealer replaced the wiper motor and it was resolved.

What do you mean not functioning properly? They don't work at all? Too fast, too slow..?

Speed inconsistent and often stopping and getting stuck in the middle of the windshield

UPDATE: Heard from the dealer that they need to replace the wiper motor. Problem is the part is on indefinite backorder. No ETA given.

See if you can get the wiper motor off of Whiskey_Tango’s truck. Sounds like one more issue on his won’t make much difference!

UPDATE: For anyone interested, after a few days of no news I opened a case w/ Chrysler Customer Care and miraculously the part showed up and the truck was fixed the next day. Coincidence?

Turns our that a malfunction in the wiper control switch caused the motor to short. New motor installed and everything seems to be working fine. Hopefully whatever caused the short doesn't happen again.
