New Laramie Check Engine light ( CEL ) on

Purchased new 2025 Laramie , drives like a dream , beautiful Delmonico red. At 180 miles CEL came on . Dealership ran code : P0420 , Bank 1 ( driver side ) catalytic converter " efficiency below threshold " Dealer installed new cat converter , now 500 miles with no further problems. Mechanic was very polite related they are just getting used to these new engines, his best explanation was a faulty new catalytic converter , I gather rare but happens. Glad I kept my 2107 4Runner as a back up vehicle .. a little nervous about reliability of the vehicle. It is really a smooth ride and enjoyable to drive .. my co worker has one and describes it as " a luxury vehicle with a large trunk " , I agree , yet still a little anxious about reliability .
