2020 Ram Limited back in the shop for the 7th time in one year. (Window leaks, manifold intake issue, exhaust, battery, engine ticks, rattles, etc…) Back in the shop for the third time in 2 months for random engine sounds with no code or warning lights. Once warmed, truck makes an obvious loud tick in time with the engine RPMS. Truck has 62K miles (in MD). Owned for two years with regular maintenance. Familiar with this sound? What could it be?

Valves, gasket, tappets changed. What else would be the cause of the loud ticking/tapping? Started about two days after CDJR mechanics fixing the initial tapping issue. There are no panel lights or gauge issues…simply a loud tap/tick.

I'd say they definitely messed something up. Sounds like a lifter tick, or loose rocker
