Senior (old) man new here and to trucks in general. I finally decided to buy a small travel trailer, (23'10", gross weight 6690#, hitch weight 530#) to travel while I am still in general good health.
To do that, I needed a truck to tow it. I had no idea how EXPENSIVE trucks were. I had planned to buy used, but used ones were also expensive with many miles and possible problems. Not being mechanically inclined, I decided for a few (ha ha) more thousands, to buy new with a warranty.
After weeks of looking and getting prices on half ton trucks that could tow this, the lowest price was on a 2020 Ram 1500 Classic Tradesman Crew Cab with the tow package that I bought today. This must be the right truck because the color is "RV Walnut Brown Metallic".
Since I have a lot to learn about this truck, I am glad to find this forum.
