Well I picked my truck up Friday from my dealer. Very happy with it so far. it had 15 miles on it from where they gave it a test run making sure every thing was good. we took a 5 miles test drive before we signed everything so when we left it had 20 miles on her. even though i ordered the truck on 4-11 they never even brought up what they gave me on the trade in. i didn't put many miles on it as i figured less chance on any thing bad happening to my 13 ram. we took a nice ride to go out to eat and put on about 80 more miles. a lot of them 4 lane highway. 2 of the things that i heard issues about from some of the guys here worked fine. first the AC. it was in the mid 80's full sun and it cooled off the truck very well. now we will see next week when it will be in the 90's and humid. 2nd thing was the volume of the sound with the HK 19 speakers with the sirius mode which i listen to 99% of the time. even though my hearing is not the best i only had to have the volume at 20 or 21 with the AC on and it was plenty. i was very satisfied with this. the 12 inch u- connect worked with no issues and it will take some time to get used to it. i think i read from one of the guys here that there was a software up date with the u-connect system. i don't know if that was it or not. all of the safety features worked. i was already used to these since my wife has a 17 GC summit which has them also. the 360 camera is really a nice thing to have where you can now see all around instead of just behind you. i'm going to have to used to using the side steps where i think they stick out further than the ones i had on my 13 ram. i'm 6-4 and i didn't have to use them much. the ride was very a very smooth ride which i heard from a lot of our guys already. one minor thing i was a little disappointed View attachment 1618 View attachment 1619 View attachment 1621 in, was the ambient lighting. it seems to be in white where my 13 has the blue which i think is much better looking. i don't know if it can be changed. looking forward to driving it more before i take my pittsburgh trip. i'm hoping to get my Access Lorado low-profile roll up cover put on next week as i had this one on my last 2 trucks. also will get my front windows tinted to match my back ones.

side note. just want to thank the members of this forum for all the great info on ordering and then the waiting process. this is the only ram forum i look at and it made it a lot easier for me. hope all the people who are waiting on their trucks get them soon, and for the folks who are having issues get them fixed as soon as possible. for the guys here who say they are ready to give up on their order and go get another brand of truck, DON'T. i really think you will regret it.

here are a few pics. Saying goodbye to my 13, which was my best vehicle ever. Hopefully the 19 will top it.

Congrats on the new Limited, beautiful truck. I noticed the same with the ambient lighting and prefer the blue as well although the white does look clean. Hopefully the truck lives up to everything your 2013 was and more. (y)

Ordered my Lone Star quad cab on May 31, it arrived at the dealer July 18. MSRP $41,125, paid $32,587. Only had it a few days, but my initial impression is that Ram knocked it out of the park with the 2019's. I still have my 98 quad cab - still running strong and hope to get many more good years out of it as a work truck. Compared to that the Lone Star is a luxury truck, I can't believe how smooth and quiet it is. The interior has a consistently solid, high quality feel, lots of nice little touches. We will be using this truck primarily to tow a 5,000 pound camper (small fifth wheel) and it should be really comfortable on long trips. I got the quad cab to maximize payload capacity, and also to have room in the bed in front of the hitch for a toolbox. I got the 3.21 differential for highway mileage, it should easily pull 5,000 pounds. Also added the larger gas tank. I had originally figured I'd need to upgrade the tires right away, but the Goodyear Wrangler Fortitude HT tires that came on the truck are pretty decent - not as good as the Michelin's I'll get next but I'll probably stick with them for now.

Being old and set in my ways I was initially put off by a lot of the electronics, and missed the classic Ram front end. But after just a few days driving I find that I am really loving the convenience of just leaving the fob in my pocket and pushing a button to start the truck, and the rotary shifter only took a day to get used to. Love the electric parking brake in automatic mode, never have to touch it. I still don't care for the front end on the higher level trims, but the basic Lone Star still looks like a truck to me and I am very happy with it. Love the light mountain brown and black interior - reminds me of my old Acura. It always seems to look lighter and more washed out in photos but in person it has a warmer look. My wife has named it "Rambo" because it feels so big....

Our truck showed "built and approved for shipment" on July 2 but the Ram support people never had any shipping info after that and I thought it was stuck somewhere waiting on a train until my dealer called out of the blue on July 18 and said the truck had just arrived....from others' experiences it sounds like we were really lucky. Not a single glitch so far, everything works perfectly, all the exterior finish lines are tight and even, etc. - I'm sure owners are more likely to post when they have a problem so I wanted to share our good experience.

Since I still have my 98, I decided to get the Maxcare lifetime unlimited warranty. I found the best price to be at Zeigler online, frequently mentioned on this board, and offered to buy it from my dealer if he'd match their price but he said their price was below his cost. Zeigler's standard discounted price online is $3,110, but if you use the discount code "PAYINFULL" that gets you an extra $365 so I paid $2,745, the best price I've seen for the lifetime warranty. I saw that code mentioned a while back and it was still working a few days ago - don't know how long it will be in effect but if you're shopping warranty prices you should try that with Zeigler. http://www.chryslerfactoryplans.com/
