Good Day,
Just picked up a 5th gen limited before Christmas. This is my 3rd Dodge/Ram. I started with an 03 Quad cab with the 4.7. Then I moved on to a 14 crew cab limited ecodiesel. Sure will miss those mpgs, but not the headaches. So far been enjoying the 5th gen. Its interesting on how some of the upgrades that I had to make to my 14 are now oem. So as with each truck before, I am having to learn what to watch out for. I have read that there seems to be two "hemi" ticks to be aware of, manifold bolts and lifters. If there is anything else that I need to be aware of or any tips on maintenance/up keep that you would like to share, I'm open for some information. I am really hoping that this truck will be a 10 year truck. But only time will tell.

Welcome and congrats. The bolts and ticks seem to be old problems but time will tell. But don’t worry, there are new problems. Lol. There are always issues with the various brands, this new model has it’s growing pains. There is plenty to read up on here. Plenty of very happy members and certainly some recurring themes/complaints. Hopefully you will be fortunate and if you run into any issues they can be resolved quickly. The forum here can be a great resource for you. Good luck and keep us posted.

I know you said you are a multi gen ram owner but if you have any other non fca vehicles in your house you can grab the extra rebate below.

Make sure you go file for this additional rebate. Do it within 60 days of purchase.

The only qualification is that “someone in your household” must have a non-FCA vehicle or that you traded in a non-FCA vehicle.
