Hello All, just joined after finding some useful information about disabling the seat belt chime on this site. Just put my 1998 Dodge Dakota 4x4 with 5.2 V8 out to pasture after 24 years of loyal service. Replaced it with a Ram 1500 4x4 Club Cab 5.7 bed Ecodiesel. Couldn't be happier after sitting out over two decades of technological advancements. The truck is incredible. 25 MPG combined, 29 highway, 22 city so far. The cabin is so quiet and comfortable it puts a smile on my face every time I get in. Just broke 1000 miles towing my snowmobile trailer from sea level up to 7k ft in the Sierra's and I was blown away at the difference between my old truck and this one. I barely noticed the trailer was there, no hard shifting or searching for the right gear.... transmission effortlessly pushed the torque from the 3.0 l diesel and it was the easiest trip to my cabin with the trailer ever. Amazing little diesel engine. Hoping the next 199,000 miles are as happy as the first thousand. Hope to learn more soon from all the knowledgeable members on here.. Cheers!
