New 2020 Limited For Sale

Looking on Autotrader while at my cabin and came across a brand new 2020 1500 Limited 4x4 Level 1 with a Diesel + Sunroof, Ram Box, & Multi function tailgate. Was going to call but then thought what kind of issues would this have sitting on the lot for 3+ years. Don't have a price on it as I have not called. I'm guessing the value in the upper 50s? I don't know much about the diesels and would this be one to completely avoid since it has not been driven (supposedly on 11 miles)? Thoughts? Thanks

The question is why has it never sold. At first, I figured it was a demo/loaner vehicle but then you said it has 11 miles on it. From what I understand, the factory warranty start date is when the vehicle is delivered to the retail buyer. Add a Maxcare service contract and go for it if the price is right.

If it’s not a mistake, perhaps it was a showroom display model. And perhaps the dealership chose not to negotiate on that one (for whatever reason). There’s no harm in calling…

As far as I know, factory warranty starts when the buyer signs the contract.

Go see it and let us know what the payload rating is. My Limited's is awfully low, but that Ram adds the MFT and the diesel...

A new car sitting on the lot would not concern me. It probably still gets started occasionally and it would come with the factory warranty. Any issues, have the dealer resolve them before delivery.

Warranties start from the date first sold.
