Is it possible to shift into neutral with engine off? In my truck, I cant turn shift knob unless engine is running. If I push Stop button, the shift knob auto rotates to Park. Was at car wash yesterday, the kind with a conveyor that pulls you through. Kept gettin message on dash to shift into Park and then desired gear.

In order to shift into neutral with the engine off you need to open the little hatch to the lower left of the steering wheel and use the pull chord . The message to shift into park and then desired gear is just because you’re in neutral , the truck is just trying to tell you that you’re not in gear that’s all .

Oh, wow, that's simple. And its possible. I'll bet that's probably in the manual that I didn't read all the way through.
Thanks much!
