The fuel door on my 2021 Ram 1500 Limited won’t open. There Is a plastic or rubber thingy on the locking post that has come loose before. At my last fill up, I noticed it took a little extra pressure to get the door closed. Then I remembered the loose rubber thingy (too late). Now I can’t get it to open. I’m sure that part of it got jammed in with the post when I closed it. I’ve tried a credit card and popsicle stick to try to free it, but no luck.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Plastic body pry tool?
Suction cup?
I wonder if you have to press the door in then pull as it rebounds. Mimic the normal motions.

Thanks! I will give that a try in the morning.
