I just got 2022 Ram 1500 Laremie 59k on it. I had it for 2 weeks and that light came on while driving on highway last night. I tried to unplug battery for 30 mins, it didn't work. I also checked it with Alfaobd, there is no fault code anything. Any solution for this? I have no warranty. Please help.
.

Obstructed or damaged sensors maybe? Can you tell if a sensor has gone bad?

I agree with defective or blocked sensor. Granted the FCW resets with Key off /on, but have you tried manually turning the FCW On Or Off or changing the sensitivity?

I did try to change the sensitivity but no luck. I just don’t want to spend few thousand dollars for hated feature.

Hi there, according to page 109 of your vehicles owner's manual, "This warning light will illuminate to indicate a fault in the FCW System. Contact an authorized dealer for service". We recommend setting a dealers appointment for assistance. Feel free to send our team a private message for an extra layer of support.

This is of no help when the vehicle is out of warranty. Many of us don't care to use this feature and want to fully disable it, but the dealership won't disable it. Mine's been on and off for 2 years now. I don't need the truck auto braking for me, so that's disabled. I also don't need audio alerts informing me that the car in front of me is slowing down. Driving a vehicle of this size and weight should require the driver pay attention, so nanny controls are not always wanted/needed.

My dealer wants $200 to diagnose this issue which started immediately after they did my first alignment. They will then tell me that I need a sensor or module to get it working again, but why do I want to spend any money on a feature I don't want or need?

Hopefully someone can tell you if AlfaOBD has the capability of removing the feature. It supposedly can add the feature if your truck didn't come with it, so...

Please respond here if there's a way to completely disable the system from the truck so we have no lights on the IC.

I've had mine in my 2021 5.7 come on a couple of times, while driving straight and level down the road. Stopped, shut the truck off, restarted it a moment later, and lamps off and everything normal. Just a glitch in the software I suppose. It has only happened twice now in five years and 43k miles. If yours is staying on even with a shutdown and restart, then obviously it is something more than a reboot.

Mine's been on for the past few months. It turned off Sunday for the 1st time since. Let's see how long before it comes back again.

Your dealer is in the best position to assist with this concern. Please continue to work with them for support as we rely heavily on the dealer for all technical assistance. Thank you!

Thats really interesting. I hope mine will disappear soon like yours. I don't want spend money for the feature what i hate about. Other than that my Ram runs super good.
