Need advice on more professional garage wall guard

Hello,

For my truck to fit in my garage I need to literally touch the garage wall.

I've been using a crappy makeshift "pad" for the last few years (to protect bumper and exhaust tips) and would like something more permanent and more professional looking.

Ideally I'd like to source this project from my local Lowes and would like something more heat resistant. Anyone have any ideas?

Ps feel free to clown me on my current setup

Why not add a wheel stop to the floor? A couple of drilled anchor bolts and you have a permanent solution that doesn’t put any pressure on your drywall.

I love the idea too but have the same reservations as your wife. Not sure it would be "professional looking" but you could use some 2" rigid insulation attached in any number of ways. Not sure how to put lipstick on that pig though!

I like this but it says 6" is closest it'll detect. Mine would literally need to be an inch away to close.

This is what I use - it is screwed to the floor but it takes up a small amount of floor space, it is ~1" tall at its' highest point and is positioned for the wheel closest to the wall so it is generally out of the walking path.

I added a tennis ball, parking stop from Amazon (uses double sided tape) and an Amazon pad. I do have surround cameras that help a lot.

I like this but it says 6" is closest it'll detect. Mine would literally need to be an inch away to close.

Dude…it doesn’t have to be placed at the point where your bumper touches the wall. You can raise it up a little so that it registers your grill, or even your windshield. Then you dial it in for whatever it’s seeing.

I actually use them for the side wall because my wife has less room to open the door now, but would work fine for your application. Just put them on last weekend, seem pretty thick. Only thing that could go south is if they have crappy adhesive.

Stop - wish I'd put it back a little bit and it also is hard to "feel" because it is so low. Also tough to hit consistently because I have to pull in at an angle. Jury is out on this one.

Parking Mat (requires no drilling into the floor and doesn't move as my previous blocks did)

My friends ford is the same way so he cut into the wall and frame a box 1' wider on each side of the truck just do the depth of the wall, framed in and added a foam insulation board for sound
