I thought so. But how weird I’ve owend many brand new vehicles and never seen this before

Oh well lol! Thanks
FCA is big on the blue markings for quality control checks. They must have run out of paint when they checked my truck and just let everything go because the things that got through QC would have been spotted by a 2 year old.

Since way back in Mopar history, vehicles were heavily marked for QC checks. In fact, it's a clue to seeing how touched a classic is.

Anyway, had blue and white on mine in view before I cleaned them off with a little Xenit on a cloth.

I don't think there are any marks on my Ram but have seen them on previous FCA vehicles, but guess they don't run them through a wind tunnel as that would be probably cost prohibitive. I have a wind leak on the driver side posted on another thread.

Amen to that. Doors and front grille needed adjustments on mine.

@MJP @EddieB ya think? Check this out. This is my tailgate and the end of the tailgate wires.
My truck has 1500 miles and it lives in my garage all the time and look how they look?

Is there even a QC? Oh and I forgot my truck is a lonestar edition everything says lonestar but the tailgate had bighorn on it, dealership had to order the lonestar badge. CRAZY!

mine had white and yellow QC marks.

i little speed shine sprayed in a microfiber towel and a light touch removes them from the paint and rubber parts also marked.

These types of markings are done for inspections and check points during assembly. Guys that do concourse 100 point restorations on classic cars research things like this and duplicate it for an exact showroom-factory look. Chalk marks, paint dabs, inspection marks are found on many high end Barrett Jackson type cars.

i could be mistaken, but i do not believe my truck will be on any restoration concourse. if it is, the white tape under the hood on the wiring harness will need to be replicated as well.

I have so many 'witness marks' on my truck that it looks like they were keeping score at a baseball game. Mopar is notorious for this going all the way back to the 50's.

Wonder if early production or a supply batch missed the zinc plated. On my truck, late October build, they are plated.

That is crazy. How the hell is it even possible no one saw the different badges? That's a first.

Mine had white QC marks all over. Gumout carb and choke cleaner worked like a champ and it doesn’t affect the paint or rubber parts

Thats rediculous. Its been hard staying loyal to a brand that lowers there quality standards like this. Shame on them.
