Hi all, did a few searches and found separate posts on each issue I'm having, but I'm curious if these could all be related(?) Bought my truck pre-owned from a dealer a couple of hours away. 2021 Ram Bighorn 1500 4x4 Hemi (no eTorque) quad cab, with the 3.92 rear axle. Super clean carfax, 13k miles on it now, and the PO had done 5 oil changes (single owner truck prior to my purchase). Paint and interior look like new, truly and got it for well under book value. I felt like I got a good truck and a good deal.
But, I have three electrically related glitches that I've found in the first two weeks of ownership, that aren't terrible, but are annoying that my new purchase has a few issues I want to sort out and make work like it should:
(1) The first one I found on upon getting home after buying the truck. The power door lock on the passenger side doesn't always move the lock button down enough to lock the door. It will pull the pin down each time, but just not far enough apparently to engage the lock itself. The odd thing is, sometimes it works like it should, and the door locks like it should. I have to always walk over and check it, since the visual difference between it locking, and not locking, is fractional and sometimes not obvious to the eye.
(2) Second issue that I found after a few days of driving it, is the windshield washer is not working. When I push the button on the multi-function stalk, the wipers turn on normally for the preset number of swipes, but no fluid comes out of the nozzles. I saw from search results, that the hoses can get disconnected under the hood mat, so I took that off last weekend, and checked everything. In my case, the hoses are all connected, so I reinstalled the insulation. I cannot hear the squirter motor working when the button on the stalk is pushed, so I'm guessing that's gone bad since I believe from my searches that there is not a fuse for that separately.
(3) Lastly, just yesterday found my drivers door heated mirror does not work since the overnight temps here dropped well below freezing. My passenger mirror heater function works fine, as does the rear defroster, so after some additional searches, I'm thinking its the mirror itself that may have to be replaced. The power adjustment, puddle lights, turn signals, and power fold all work as they should on the drivers side mirror - just not the heated portion.
I had an experience once where I had some weird electrical issues with a SUV where some mice had chewed on wires. Where this truck has obviously sat a lot during the first 4 years of its life, I was wondering if that had happed to this truck, but as I dug around, I didn't see anything obvious. Hoping our community experts can weight in on if they think these were just three simple issues that are unrelated that I just need to get fixed one by one, or do the current generation Rams have these issues that stem from some central cause?
