Hey guys. I got a 2024 Ram 1500 Hemi 4x4 BigHorn (Last Hemi Engine since they are canceling all V8) Anyway I got my resonators deleted sounds great on a cold start and Absolutely no drone just a little rumble in the cabin which sounds great. No complain from the family. thing is after it warms up it sounds completely like stock even revving the engine. I’m going to the muffler shop this weekend and replacing the stock muffler with a magnaflow. Any suggestions? (while still keeping the cabin with no drone )

I had great sound with a Magnaflow Dod 18 in my 4th gen. It was suggested to me by Mufflex to go with the Dod 14” for my 5th gen. After doing more research, I settled on the muffler delete but kept the resonators. It’s sounds awesome on cold start and after warm up it sounds great when you get on the skinny pedal. Minimal, if any drone in the cab. I’ve had quite a few compliments from others about how good the truck sounds when warmed up and just idling.

I really liked Magnaflow on my 5.7 Jeep. To me it had the best sound having listened to several of the alternatives in person.

That’s the exact setup the guy in the muffler shop suggested but I insisted on the resonator delete. I should have listened lol

I have the B2 Fabrications oval muffler with no drone but I still have my resonators in place.

Some people claim that removing the resonators with aftermarket mufflers are creating a drone while others have no drone. So I guess it will depend on the frequency generated from your particular muffler and sensitivity to low frequencies.

I was scheduled to have the Magnaflow Dod 14” installed at Mufflex for around $400. I was talking to buddy and he suggested I check out another exhaust place that he dealt with and has much experience with 5th Gen’s. I’m glad I took that suggestion. $120 out the door and I couldn’t be happier.

I’m going to put a magnaflow this week (the muffler delete although sounds cool doesn’t have the sound I’m looking for) I’m going for a more “composed” sound. Hopefully I’ll get no drone, I’ll post how it turns out

With the resonators still intact, I get a deep throaty sound. I was very particular to not get the raspy sound like a weedwhacker😆.

Since you have the resonators deleted, I think I’d go with the Magnaflow as well. Be sure to let us know how it sounds once installed. Good luck brother.

I currently have the mbrp 5143 - and at some point I will also be doing the resonator delete.
Should sound very close to this - can't remember if 2020's came with the front resonator - mine doesn't have it

Black widow mufflers sound great and are built pretty tough. I have not heard them on a hemi truck but have on cars.

Alright so I got a Magnaflow I believe it was a 14( no resonators) and it sounds great! Absolutely no drone whatsoever and you hear an ear satisfying sound when you step on it. Just what I was looking for since I have my family in the truck at times

That’s awesome man. Glad it worked out for you. I love it when a plan comes together—Hannibal Smith. lol.

Another vote for Carven catback.

I'm not sure how the Carven muffler swap would sound.

Otherwise Magnaflow is always a solid!!

I have the Proven Ground C&L direct fit with resonators still on and it drones under load or when towing. Sounds good but drones.

B2fabrication oval muffler direct replacement here. Moderate sound, still quiet cruising, no drone that I have heard. Sounds good on cold start and when you get on it..
has a good idle sound as well, deeper than stock, no gurgle..

For good bit of growl when getting on it, but fairly tame in the cab and no drone I went with flowmaster flowfx. I still have the resonators tho. Not regrets
