Moving the Ram Rebel to Germany!

The emission footprint of electric cars is pretty well documented it takes a little until a electric car catches up but according to a German study with the renewable/conventional energy mix in Germany over lifetime a 2017 electric car will emission ~25% less compared to fuel cars. I’m also not convinced that bevs will be the future and more of a bridge technology but particular argument has been a bit short sighted

Germany has already stated they will not stop combustion engine production.

I know my answer is a bit late for you, but I just wanted to share a bit of my experience. I thought I'd chime in since I’ve recently been researching moving vehicles overseas. It's awesome you're bringing your Ram Rebel to Germany! One thing I learned is that checking with a good moving company that has experience with international shipping is key. I found a few options, including one that offers vehicle transport, like Discount Moving | La Meilleure Compagnie de déménagement à Montréal. I’ve also heard it's smart to confirm your insurance covers everything while the truck is in transit and once it’s over there. Also, don't forget to bring a set of all-weather tires since some areas in Germany have strict winter tire laws.

I was stationed in Grafenwöhr and Bamberg years ago.

No way I'd drive an American spec car over there. The Autobahn would be a terrible experience. A buddy of mine had an f150 shipped over there and while fun in an a-hole kinda way driving through towns, it was a PITA to manage. Lots of imports were that way, like a bad *** Toyota Supra or Skyline but it had a limited on it so it was basically only using 3 gears lol.

I bought a hooptie for like $500 that gets passed around from solider to soldier and rented cars for longer trips, or used the massive amounts of superior in every way to our own public transportation system. And I didn't hold out when I rented either... Audi A8 is one vehicle I drove over there. So glad I didn't bother trying to move a vehicle over there.

Plus, with VAT, why not just buy a BMW or something, have it under warranty there and it'll be so much better of an experience. Especially if you are not deploying regularly.
