Mountain Hatch first impressions...

I have MFT, so if I drop my tailgate I don't have a step I can land on.
There a reason :)

The tailgate cover doesn't work with the MFT, so that's moot. I said, no good excuse. You may come up with an excuse, but it's still not a good one. 🤣

i have the MFT and the step. but you've got a good point--i'm not sure if i can use it with the tailgate down. i'll check it tomorrow.

You can't use it unless you have the corner step.

that's what i've got. the step on the drivers side by the bumper. not sure how accessible it is with the tailgate down though. i'm headed to the shop to check the nitrogen charge in the king shocks tomorrow. plan to check it out... while i'm waiting around.

That's interesting. The middle step is normally combined with the MFT. The corner step will work perfectly with your MFT lowered traditionally.

not quite the corner step i described. here’s what i have. can’t use the step with the tailgate down…

That's actually what is called the "middle" step with the MFT.
