I did this mod I unfortunately didn't take pictures or video while doing this
i ordered these lamps for the 2021 DT tow mirrors these lamps are for the 2500,3500 series but fit perfect in the 1500 series mirrors

then I ordered from Mouser
with all these terminals read the datasheets on product pages to find correct open barrel crimps sizes
Door module connecter and terminals
you need 2 of "1-968562-2"
and 2 of "2-2177198-1"
the correct cover is actually 5-2177198-1 but it has been unavailable for months
i bought the above part and cut the key off below #10 position . I then put a wrap of green tape on the last inch of wires on the door module connector end and a drop of green paint on connector "A" position of door module
you also need 4 of "5-963715" but i ordered 25 very easy to mess up terminals
these are the parts for the mirror lights plug
you will need 2 of "MX19004S51"
you also need 8 of "MX19S10K451" but again i ordered 25 , very easy again to mess up terminals
I ordered 22awg striped wires from milspecwiring online in the colors associated with the factory connectors
you will need @ 6 TO 7 ft of each wire for each door
on the passenger side lamp connector its says "blindspot lamp return" its actually turn signal return
ignore blue isometric views of mirror lamp plugs picture is wrong
now the fun part running the wires
first remove door panel . I made the door module connector using terminals 5-963715 inserting into correct position in to connector 1-968562-2 then putting cover 2-2177198-1 on ,then wrapped it most of 2 wire harness in Tesa fabric tape. plug 10 position connector into door module position "A" .Then you have to remove approach light , mirror arm front cover
(I found a video on youtube of someone removing front arm cover , be careful easy to break tabs ) and small outside mirror . at this point you have to route wire from door inside following wires already in mirror to lamp position
I then disconnected turn signal light in mirror and removed it ,then I installed the new lights into mirror
I then cut old 2 position connector off and added terminals MX19S10K451 and the new wires previously ran with terminals MX19S10K451 and insert them into correct location in connector MX19004S51
then using Alfa odb with security bypass and Bluetooth odb adpater and I enabled "CBC Features: side repeaters enabled" and" CBC Features: Side Mirror used as side markers" and Doors: Mirror Running Lights"
This mod requires the use of open barrel crimpers that's why you might want to order extra terminals the are very small terminals and very easy to mess up
