I installed Bilsteins on my 2013 express set at 2.1 and ended up a little nose high because I didn’t measure may rake first. Ended up trading the truck in on my 5th gen about 6 months later so I never adjusted it or raised the back.

Fast forward to my 5th gen and I wanted to level again. This time I measured first and had only 2” of rake. I decided I didn’t want to spend the money on the bilsteins to only set it at 1.7 just didn’t seem necessary. So I tried to find an 1-1/2” level kit for a 5th gen and couldn’t. After a lot of searching I found a thread on here from someone who put the level kit from their 4th gen on their 5th gen and it worked just fine.

I wanted to share this since I couldn’t find much about it. I bought a Maxtrac 1-1/2” leveling kit that is listed for a 4th gen and it worked just fine. Ended up raising the front almost exactly 1-1/2” which is all I wanted and It looks great. Drives and rides exactly the same. So if anyone else is looking for a cheaper way to level and not end up nose high this works. My dog Louie decided he wanted to pose for a pic so I had to include it.

Thanks, I actually just pulled the trigger on a new ecodiesel so this one is getting swapped out tomorrow. Going to most likely put the same level kit on the new one

i like your avatar, I’m a huge fan of tool. Seen them in concert a couple times back in my glory days

I have been feeling the same just want to reduce the take not eliminate. With only 1.5” how is the upper ball joint travel?

It’s fine, only 1-1/2” lift won’t hurt anything from the research I’ve done. I noticed no difference in the ride.
