Map update issue

Trying to update the maps on my 2022 Ram 1500 limited. Downloaded the file from the site but when I plug it in, nothing happens. I am using a new 128 Gig thumb drive. Is it too big for the Ram to handle? I’ve checked the thumb drive on two computers and it works just fine. I’ve reformatted it twice. What am I missing?

Your drive is too large. The maximum size it can take is 64MB. If you partition it to 64MB or buy a smaller drive it will work.
Hard to believe with today’s terabyte plus drives, but there it is..

After the zipfile is downloaded, it needs to be unzipped, and those files placed on the hard drive.
I should have mentioned it, but forgot because my computer automatically unzips them.

They should not be in a directory on the drive.

Going from memory here but the instructions call for a drive formatted to FAT32 in order to work.

No matter what I did with my 64GB drive I couldn't get it to work. I finally broke down and bought a 32 GB drive. Formatted for FAT32, downloaded the update files, and I have updated 2 trucks right away without issue.

That's what worked for me anyways.

I bought a 32 Gig drive and it worked. hoping the speed camera near me that isn’t there anymore is also gone on the map. Looks like the previous owner had never updated the maps.
