Hello everyone, I'm trying to get some insight on setting up my e2 weight distribution hitch. I installed airbags with an onboard compressor. How much air should I have in the bags before I set up my weight distribution hitch?
I guess know one knows. My idea would be to measure the gap between the top of tire and fender lip front and rear.then hook it up and inflate till it's back to that measurement.
I went with the Timber Grove Airbags, Bump Stock True AirBag, manual inflation. I set my Weight Distribution Ball Height Equal to my coupler height vs setting the hitch 1 1/2" higher than the trailer coupler height. I load up my truck for camping , then I add air to raise my ball 1 1/2". Takes maybe 14 lbs of air to raise 1 1/2". I also carry tools to raise my hitch height 1 1/2" in case my air bags fail.
Works good for me. Had a hard time getting trailer leveled with the ball hitch mounted higher than the trailer coupler per the manufacturer directions.
