Magnaflow 19429 Exhaust System Modification

I couldn't seem to find a thread on my particular question, but if there is one and someone can share the link I would greatly appreciate it!

I'm interested in purchasing the Magnaflow 19429 Exhaust System for my 2022 1500 Limited, and on the websites it says "Vehicles With Deployable Bed Steps May Require Modification". I called Magnaflow and the representative said this exhaust system would require the removal of the bed step all together. While I'm not married to the bed step, I still enjoy its convenience of being there. Removing it also doesn't quite sound like a "modification" but obviously more of a removal. Nevertheless, I am not the smartest man in the world, but after looking at my undercarriage, it seems like I can keep the bed step in place and everything would still fit with the new exhaust. I realize that's just the naked eye test and can be wrong, but that was just my observation. So to the questions at hand......does anyone have experience or knowledge on if I actually have to remove the bed step, or does the exhaust system actually fit while keeping the bed step installed?

I have a 2022 Laramie 4x4 and installed the 82215289AH bed step but when it closes it hits the muffler. You can hear it and see the exhaust tip move when it closes. Has anyone else seen anything like this?

I should have clarified.....I have a center (CTR) mount bedstep (82216265AB). The bed step in that post is the side mount and I can see how that one would interfere with an exhaust. My bed step is on the left side of the real bumper but it's between the left exhaust tip and the trailer hitch.

Also to be know that I have the multifunction tailgate.
