Magnaflow 12589

Anybody currently running Magnaflow 12589 muffler only ?

on my previous 4th gen truck i ran the 12588 and it was just the right sound for me and had zero drone when MDS kicked in

Also if someone can confirm the 5th gen exhaust is 3" in / 3" out that would be very much appreciated

Yes the 5th gen exhaust is 3" in/out. Not sure about that muffler, but I installed Magnaflow 11229 on my 2020 Rebel 5.7 and deleted the resonators. sounds just right!

How does it sound? I’m trying to decide between the 22” and 18” magnaflow for my 2020 5.7

Did you ever put it on? I have this muffler on the way. Trying to find something quiet with no drone but barks at WOT.

I've got the Magnaflow direct fit 19433.
Sounds great, nice deep tone, just a tad extra volume. I get a lot of complements on it.
Pretty easy install, need a Sawzall to remove the existing garbage can, and a hanger removal tool is a must, then it bolts right in.
MDS does cause the tone to change, its annoying, I've learned to turn off MDS as soon as I take off.
1500 rpm causes a slight drone which is worsened when towing.

Yeah I had that. It was a tad loud for me especially in the lower RPM’s. I’m hoping a larger muffler will give me that sound but only when I want it.
