think i made a mistake when swapping my transmission pani got the tranmission up to temp and ran it through the gears but then i shut it off and filled it until a stream.

I did it twice the first time there was no oil that came out so i put about another quart into it. It took about 7 quarts in the ppe pan.

I don’t have access to a lift anymore to work on the truck should i just run it up to temp in the drive and pull the fill plug and see if it is a stream on the ground? My truck in the drive way measured to be pretty level. I’ve been driving it and it heats up to 195 when warm, which i think should be high considering the pan is deeper but it is within range

You need to keep the engine running while filling. And put fill plug back in before shutting it off, or you will lose fluid and be underfilled

Yea i shut the engine off and then checked the level so, should i run it to temp and re check w engine running? I dont have access to the lift anymore.

Yes, you have to have engine running when you fill and check level. Also, did you do the proper procedure of putting it in drive and running it up to 2nd gear with wheels off the ground? It should flow out pretty good with engine off if you remove fill plug
