Low Fuel Warning Light

So this is honestly the first time I’ve ever let my truck get this low on fuel, but I got the low fuel indicator warning at 50 miles left. What’s odd is the little low fuel light shows up at the bottom, below the screen and stays whitish colored the whole time. But when I cut the truck on and off, the. Light is yellow for a second.
Shouldn’t it be yellow when the warning comes on the whole time?

So, I figured out my it’s normal. The gas light only turns yellow if the instrument cluster backlight is turned all the way up.
