Purchased a 2019 1500 Big Horn 4x4 with the 5.7 hemi last week, 38k miles, bone stock. No issues initially, but it has developed a SUPER LOUD hum at 1400 RPM under light throttle. Like it doesn't happen during acceleration, but as soon as I back off it at my desired speed it is very pronounced when it drops to the 1400 RPM range. It's louder than driving over rumble strips on the highway.
I've done some searching and found similar issues, but no difinitive answers, any help would be appreciated!
Not in Eco mode when it does it.
Does happen on deceleration of I'm lightly on the throttle.
In 2WD

Following... saw similiar happenings on long drive. my mileage is around 34K and same stats on vehicle.

My 2019 is doing the same thing. It gets so loud that you can't talk over it and it hurts your ears. I did notice with mine that it tends to do it more when down shifting gears, especially around 50mph while in cruise control. If I use the gear select buttons on the steering wheel and drop to 7 its not as loud or frequent.

From that description it's probably a malfunction in the ANC Module (Active Noise Cancellation). There is a TSB to correct the issue as well as some home brew solutions. The next time you hear the noise, roll the window down. If the noise stops ANC is the culprit. Link to the TSB below

Thanks, I'll give it a shot and go from there.

Thank you all for the replies.
Thanks for the TSB!

I found a few posts talking about the "wire wiggle" and decided that even though it sounded stupid, it was free. Have not had any issues since. I doubt it's a permanent fix though.

Hi all, Just fixed this problem on my 2019 Ram Bighorn w/ 5.7 Hemi.
Mine would drone in the cab at 1400 RPM. It would be at 50 MPH in 7th gear and 42 MPH in 6th gear.
It happens when the engine hits a certain RPM and causes a resonance in the exhaust.
IT IS NOT the windows, tow switch, or a thousand other theories floating out there.
It is the ANC system. I did not try the TSB nor did I try the reflash after reading all the bad results others have had.
I have read others have fixed this by switching the wires on their speakers. I also read that others had no problem until they installed new speakers. If the speaker is out of phase, (Pushing the speaker cone, when it should be pulling) it will not cancel the noise but actually amplify it! This is probably the real cause and is simply because a person at the factory is not getting the wires on the speakers correctly.
I did not switch my wires, but wanted to throw that out there for others to consider.
I chose to use an ANC bypass harness made by LLJ Customs Car Audio. I have no affiliation with them and found them in one of the endless forum posts I have read. For $15 bucks, it worked for me and I don't notice the cab noise is any louder without the ANC.
The thing I liked is that it didn't require cutting anything. Just plug and play, and I can always remove it IF They come out with a factory fix.
