Welcome cotonymopar! But yeah...I’m sorry bud, stripe needs to be retired.
If you are that inclined to add stickers, go with something subdued. There are plenty of options. One supplier mentioned on this site too. Search “striping”. I recall the name of the thread is maybe “let the striping begin”

There's a few threads on here about colored badges. There are companies that both make replacement badges or provide vinyl overlays for them. The vinyl would be pretty cheap to do and is more easily reversible than anything requiring paint.
