Locking doors

Just noticed this:
the push button on driver and passenger door handles do not work (lock the doors) if the fob is not with me.
they work when the fob is in my pocket.
is this normal?
anything to program and configure?

They are based on proximity of the fob to the vehicle. Working as designed.

Yup, that is correct. The proximity system works around the key, they also don't want you to unlock or lock without the key on you. You also can't lock it with the key in the truck for obvious reasons, unless you do it manually. Not that you would want to do that

If you leave the key in the truck and start it with the Uconnect App it will lock with the key inside. You will have to use the 2nd key or the same app to unlock it.
