Limited - how to disable seat belt warning

So I've seen the steps to take on trim levels that have an actual key, but I haven't seen one on how to disable the seat belt warning with the keyless trim models. For instance, my Limited model I haven't had any success in disabling the seat belt warning chimes.

Anyone successfully done this on a keyless model they can share some insight on?

Thank you, your video worked perfectly for me. The other instructions I'v seen had me going into ACC mode which doesn't seem to work for these models.

Here's the notes I took from your video to make this work in case anyone wants to save time and just do it.

1. buckle up
2. turn onto run position by pushing start button without foot on brake - don't start truck
3. let dash finish it's thing (about 5 seconds)
4. unbuckle and rebuckle seatbelt 3 times - leave buckled at end
5. push button to turn off truck
6. hear a single ding - that means it worked
7. now start truck and go

I've found that another pretty effective trick to keep the seatbelt warning from going off is to wear the seatbelt. I suppose that if the seatbelt chafes your nipple rings or interferes with the third arm coming out of your chest, you might want another way to disable the warning.

Spot on. That‘s how I did mine last year. Haven’t had to reprogram as of yet.

You shouldn't insult people for making their own choices on how they wish to drive. Be proud you wear your seat belt and leave it at that, you don't know everyone's reasons for why they choose to do what they do.

I'm not telling you that you should wear it, I'm just saying I can't think of a reason not to (except for some ridiculous examples). I suspect a lot of people think a seatbelt is unnecessary in a vehicle with airbags, which is far from the truth. If you've got good reasons, I'm genuinely curious what they are. If you don't want to share, that's cool too, but I reserve the right to picture you with a third arm.

No snarky comment. I don't know what that's like, and I'm not telling you you're wrong--I just don't understand. You're in the same position in the seat with or without the belt, right?

I can move, twist, shift in my seat but really, the point is, why is it I need to explain, except maybe to the cop. And there is a badge in the wallet for that too.

You don't have to justify anything to me, but if you're willing to explain, I'm willing to learn. I didn't usually wear a seatbelt when I was younger, but my reasons were stupid ones. I'm curious about other people's non-stupid reasons.

This is similar to my case, I have multiple ruptured disks and I cannot lean forward enough with my upper boddy in a comfortable manner when the seat belt is constantly getting tighter and tighter. Eventually my back begins to hurt and I just give up and leave it off.

Not a problem. What I need is a plug in seatbelt clip to bypass it though nice to see the video. I wholeheartedly believe folks should wear seat belts. And if its nasty driving, I will buckle up, but normally, I am an offender.

I don't wear seatbelt when I'm out on the farm or running around hunting. Pain in the fanny with opening and closing gates, getting out and glassing, etc. These go in once I get off the hard roads and seatbelt goes back on when I head back home.

This is great. Hope it works. that chime is a pain in the *** when doing stuff around the property. No real need for a belt to drive the trash cans to the road or move firewood around. If I had a nickel for each time I sternly tell the truck “I know. I know. I know!”...
