I know this is more opinionated than based on fact, but what would be the better option for offroading. I am someone who is calculated, but not afraid to take risks when it comes to the trails. I want to make sure I have enough clearance underneath. 2 inch level, or 3.5 inch lift? Prefer the look of the 3.5, but 2 inch might be more practical. Non offroad suspension

Your clearance comes from the height of your tires. It's actually the distance from the bottom of your diff to the ground which is created by the height of your tires.. The amount of lift somewhat dictates the size of the tires you can run. So, if you think you would like to have 35 inch tires, a 2 inch level will do the trick. It might be a bit tight and you might lose a bunch of articulation if you try to fit 37's on a 2 inch level. In that case a lift is probably better. I have almost 3 inches of level on mine with 35's and I take mine on some pretty crazy trails. In my lameass opinion, 35's and a level are all that is needed. Plus, the higher you go the higher the center of gravity. Hit some shelf roads with off-cambers and you'll know why you don't want high center of gravity. A good suspension if far better than a lift.

I have a Ram Rebel 2021 and put in a 3inch Leveling kit front and rear with upper control arms for the lift. I went with a tiny bit of larger tires vs stock 285/75/18 and I'm happier with the extra clearance I got. I have side steps so I hated that my steps were hitting in some areas when off roading. I actually bent one up and had to fix it.
The only issue that I have with the mod is that when I drive in the freeway I do feel my steering wheel moving much more! I also got like 2 less mpg.
