Lets See Your BackCountry Trim Trucks!!

Anyone own a Backcountry with 3.21 gears, are you happy with it? I tow less then 5k. Asking since there was an error with my order and I'm getting 3.21's vs 3.92.

Nice truck. I agree, the Rebel-style seats beat the **** out of all cloth or all leather!
I have all leather in my Rebel zero chance I would want the vinyl/cloth. They do look nice though. My Rebel interior is also all black...so it might be a unicorn truck. LOL!

Not sure if this has been covered or not. But what is the largest tire size the backcountry can fit?

Ive had mine since january and the small tires also drive me crazy. I see some people say 275/70/18 which, correct me if I'm wrong, is the same as the ram rebel stock set up.

I have found ram rebel take offs for sale and also ram trx take offs for sale locally. Trx are 325/65/18

I have no doubt the rebel set up will fit without a problem. But I would be interested to know if the trx set up would fit ok. Or if a lift/ spacers/ trimming would be required?

I did and have zero issues. Don’t fall for the hype of the 3.92 gears unless you truly need them and are towing at the upper limits or tow in a lot of hilly terrain. If your towing under 5k 3.21’s are perfectly fine. Been towing my 3000 lb boat all over with 3.21’s in my last 3 trucks for over 10 years now and barely even notice it back there.

Good question and I’ve been wondering the same. Saw a set of TRX takeoffs for sale and immediately thought how nice they would look on my truck.

I ran the numbers for TRX vs stock and here are the results…..

The question is will these fit and if not what changes need to be made?

If I remember right 295/70/18 will fit with no mods.

Here is the comparison for those vs stock…

My 2022 RAM BackCountry quad cab. Dealer ordered and shipped to me the step bars as the truck did not arrive with them (no cost). It is leveled and has TRX wheels.

I finally gave up on ram cares doing anything to help me out. They've been totally blowing me off. Ordered the go rhino d6 and installed them myself. I had the steps on my porch 2 days after placing order

My Borla ATAK cat back was delivered yesterday and I installed it today. Sound is great......surprisingly quiet inside the truck. But, a great loud sound outside. And, absolutely no drone.

I've got all leather in my Laramie. Even with a tan interior, the vent seats can't keep up. The cloth inserts on the rebel/BC are really nice compared to the all cloth seats on a Big Horn.

What tire size did your backcountry come with. Reason I ask, is my build sheet show LT275/70R18E, but my window sticker show LT275/65R18E. What is more accurate?

From my build sheet….

Honestly I would rather have the 70’s. Slightly bigger and would look a bit better on the Back Country.

Yep, not complaining. Just wonder who is correct, BS or WS. Did they run out and upgrade. I know on TRX forum, been a lot of weird issues with BS last couple days.

Interesting. MY BS says 265/70 but the WS is 265/65 which matches what is on the truck. Would have been nice to the little larger tires so it doesnt look like the truck skipped leg days so much

It will be interesting to see what comes of the tire sizes, Ill check mine (built march 2022) but if they switched tire sizes without warning due to stock shortages, There may be something had for MPG ratings and whatnot being incorrect from the factory. The smaller tires would need to spin faster to maintain the same speed as the larger tires which would lead to an increase in engine RPM and decrease in MPG

But slightly bigger tires add more mass and spinning weight which also reduces MPG. I think it would be a wash. It’s only a very slight difference in size. Not enough to notice a huge difference.
