@Eltaco - that Garmin unit is pretty cool! Didn't know it existed. I will dig up your post. I presume from you comment above that you can set it up with multiple triggers like the Switch Pro? So you can turn it on manually or have it come on automatically with your high beams? Thx.

You can set it up with 2 different triggers. I used hi beam and DRL as my two triggers.

Within the phone app, I can set it up to automatically power my aux device when triggered by one of those two, or I can manually turn it on/off with the app or even with the CarPlay app. This device does not have a manual switch inside the vehicle though. Maybe some other options do.

So far, I really enjoy the Garmin PowerSwitch. Does everything I need it to do!

As someone who came from the same place Garmin is from (Taiwan... which probably also explains why I'm very against buying Chinese stuff lol), I'll say that Garmin is pretty decent. I run their watches, but I still have my reserve regarding their overlanding/ offroad stuff.
I briefly used the Garmin Overlander GPS unit and was not impressed at all; it was slow and it lagged a lot. I know the switch system is different from the GPS unit, but the experience with the Overlander unit made me hesitant to put it on the same level as sPod or Switch Pro and that's why I didn't mention it earlier when you asked. Couldn't let my personal feeling for something of Taiwanese origin cloud my professional opinion.
