Is there a "proper" side to add a magnetic switch for LED lights? I've seen videos and instructions that show either adding the mag switch to the power side or to the ground side. What's the correct side to switch on?

First on the list is to take the leads and touch them to the battery terminals.

Some LEDs only work when RED goes to RED and BLACK goes to BLACK but the leads are all one color and you have to make the guess at which is which.

Thanks, but not my question.

I know how to wire up LEDs. I'm more curious if people think switched negative or switched positive is considered more proper or not.

So, to put it more plainly. Should I switch before the Led from the battery side or after the LED on the ground side.
