Not happy with a couple interior color choices from the factory, I had the gold Laramie dash/center console trim and the gloss black 12" touchscreen bezel wrapped in matching vinyl.

Mark Wu (Wu! Wraps) in Renton, WA did the work using Avery Supreme Matte Black vinyl wrap. It took a little over two hours.

I love the end result. Photos attached.

looks much better, what exactly did you have to take apart to do it?

The whole upper center dash assembly comes out easily. A couple screws need to be removed from the top and you carefully pull the whole thing out, slowly prying/pulling it by hand. A few quick disconnent cables on the backside and it is free. Once the whole center piece is out, you can disassemble further as needed.

The lower center console trim was wrapped without removing it. A few more photos attached.

My tint guy said he couldn't wrap my console because the gold crap was textured and the wrap wouldn't stick well. I'd love to know what prep work you're installer used.

I assume he just cleaned the surface before applying, following whatever procedure Avery recommends for this specific wrap. The install seemed straightforward and it worked great on textured and smooth surfaces.

That looks great, and bums me out a little. From your picture, it looks like the gold panels on the side are one piece with the entire face, and cannot be removed independently?

So a tint shop is where i need to ask about getting something like this done? I hate the gold look they chose

I would look for a shop that specializes in wrapping interior pieces. Maybe ask high-end detailers in your vicinity for a recommendation.

Following up after a month of use.

The wrapped trim is very easy to clean with a microfiber towel or one of the alcohol-based screen cleaning clothes I keep in my center console. Still looks as good as day one.

How’s the wrap holding up?
