I'm considering adding a ladder/canoe rack. It looks like most of the makers think these things should be just clamped to the top rail, but I really would rather have it bolted into the stake pockets. I have a roll-up cover already installed, so that's one reason. I see several makers of the rail clamp racks have what appears to be a z-channel adapter that purports to work with rail mounted covers, but I'm not impressed with that idea. So far, I've found US Rack making stake pocket rack models that might work, but their thing seems to be extrusion and t-bolt assembly. I'm more of an "Erector Set" type of guy, if you get that reference. What can y'all recommend for other brands to look at? Or does someone make stake pocket inserts that I could bolt my own angle, tube, or channel creations to? I'd consider that, too. Thanks!

You didn't specify if you were looking for a one side of the truck rack, like these, or something that goes across the whole bed. These have brackets that bolt in permanently, and the verticals are easily removable. They have flat or angled tops.

Look at ADARAC. mine is the pro model (straight posts) and works with inside-the-rail tonneau covers. I have their LOMAX trifold cover.

Single side didn't occur to me, I was thinking all the way across, but thanks for the ideas.

One of my previous jobs I used to deal with them, so I checked out their site real quick. The all the way across ones they list don't fit DTs. Good luck.
