Key fob help

I have had Lasfit LED bulbs in my cargo and 3rd brake light for a few years. No issues. Explain that. I even replaced both cargo lights Lasfit's when one stopped working. Still no FOB issues.
It seems hit or miss.

Update: since my original post, I hadn’t had another fob issue until today. I live about an hour away from St Louis, and when I had the first issue I was up in South St Louis dress shopping with my daughter. Now over a month later I’m back in South St Louis for a volleyball tournament and my fob is screwing up again. Not unlocking without about 20+ presses of it and truck won’t recognize the fob to start. Once in the cab I press the lock/unlock on the fob until something clicks and then the truck will recognize fob and start.

I’m convinced there is something in this area and interferes with my fob signal. Not sure what to do about it? Luckily I haven’t been stranded yet.

Back home now and it’s working perfectly fine. There is definitely some weird interference with my fob in the south county area of St Louis. I spent a week in Nashville Tennessee and zero issues, so it’s not just a city thing. Weird.

I have a 2021 Laramie and the Fob does the same thing. I've changed the 3rd brake light to LED couple years ago to no avail. It's the only thing I can't stand about the truck. Or, sometimes, I'll get in after remote start, push the start button and it says no fob detected. I do have metal keys on my fob and maybe those interfere, but it's annoying as hell.

There could be multiple reasons. One could just be electrical interference in the area. My daughter called me one day, saying 3 other people in the same location, couldn't get in their cars. 2 of them opened the doors with their keys, which set off their alarms. I told her to go ahead and unlock, but get in, and push the start button, with the key fob. It's in the manual, to do this, if fob battery is dead. She, and the others all did this to be able to leave. Second, you may have a defective RF hub. It's behind the back seat, and rear window leaks, short them out. The third thing, your fob may be defective.

I have these Lasfit LED in my CHMSL - Amazon.com

Two years in and no problems.

I even bought faraday tape for "just in case" it does give interferance, but never used it. - Amazon.com
