Kayak Rack with MFT and Mopar tri-fold tonneau cover

Just got my very first Ram 1500 , now I'm trying to figure out how to haul the toys at the same time. It's a Laramie with the MFT and a Mopar tri-fold hard tonneau cover. I've searched the threads but am unable to find a discussion (if i've missed them would really appreciate the pointer to it) on kayak racks that do not interfere with the cover and do not require the trailer hitch. I want to be able able to tow the boat and carry the 17' kayaks at the same time. Any suggestions on products?

Kayak transport

I didn't have an issue hauling my 12' kayak in my 2500 with 8' bed. But with the very short bed, I'm not sure if I should go with a roof rack, or headache rack and hitch rack or tower racks. My wife wants to join me this year so I'm going to get her a kayak, too. So, suggestions would be good...

Through a Canadian distributor

Direct from Adarac is an option but their shipping costs were much higher. And with covid impacting cross border shipments in 2020, I didn’t want to deal with any delays
