The KARR system can be a parasite to your battery. Used to be the dealer would install the unit (butcher a perfectly good factory harness) and charge a ton of money for this cheap system (still common, just going by a dealer here that stopped using the system). Was usually the last thing they offer in finance. If you didn't want it, oh we will just disable it. But it is still on the vehicle with the potential to drain the battery if the high school kid that installed it didn't know what they were doing. Some dealers do have a KARR rep that comes out to install but you basically get the same butchered harness.
Check ebay, you will be surprised at the price you can get there. The system will be mounted under the kick panel or below the steering column. Many vehicles have the system, most owners dont know it.
On the plus side you may get a insurance discount, you will need it if you have any harness issues in the future as it will disable the vehicle in the worst case.
