I am putting in this JBL https://www.jbl.com/BASSPROSL.html tomorrow, should help to fill in the low end a little, the Kenwood Excelon's and Kicker Key AMP made a big difference but still missing a little low end.

It sounds nice, I am still tweaking the knobs a little on crossover, gain and bass boost to get it as good as I can but it definitely fills in the low end well. I am perfectly happy.

Is the sub attached to the floor in any way or just tucked in the underseat space?

It is attached to the floor, I can feel it but not really chest thumping, would need a bigger sub for that. It fills in the low end well.
