2022 Ram, week old. Went with Wife to a conference at a hotel (~100 miles away) and that night at the bar my jacket was taken. It had 1 of the fobs inside. Wife had the other fob so we moved the truck so we could keep an eye on it and after discussing with the hotel, left early the next morning to come back home. Hotel still haven't found the jacket so assumption is it was taken.

At this point at the very least we will order a new fob so we have 2 again, however i'm not comfortable that there would still be a 3rd key out there. What's the options for a 're-code' or something where I order 2 fobs and start over? Can the dealer do this or can an old fob be deactivated? I understand the physical key within the fob would still be valid, but??

unsure how to proceed, will be calling the dealer this week after a final check by the hotel.

When you have the dealer program the new fob, tell them to perform the “erase all fobs” programming. Then, they would program your new fob, and the one fob that you currently have, like normal. The missing fob will now no longer be recognized.

If you have a Factory Mopar Vehicle Protection contract, I believe the replacement Fob chould be covered minus the plan deductible.

yes we have something similar (3rd party offered through dealer that has key coverage) so will likely call them first if my final call to the hotel comes up with nothing.

Just FYI, according to the wording in my Mopar factory extended warranty, replacement key fobs are not subject to the deductible.
