Is there a plug and play way to get power behind the dash?

Curious is there is a way plug and play or no wire cutting way to get power behind the dash for a usb connector? I want to run a powered USB device, but do not want to use up one of the external connector points.

Super easy.

First you buy a fuse tap and install it to provide a feed.

Then you cut the clips off this thing and connect the red to the fuse tap and the black to a ground somewhere.


This thread will help you identify the fuse you want to tap off of.

Thanks. Thats a good idea. On my Wrangler someone make an adapter that plugs into the back of the power port. Let me see if I can find it....

Got it. Here is the one for the Wrangler I was thinking about. Once I found that I decided to try the same search terms (duh) but substitute Ram for Wrangler and came up with this. More expensive than your solution for sure, @Richard320.
