Is there a need lift the rear when going to 34" tires...?

I have the standard suspension (no ORP)...

I'm putting on 34"s (275/65/20) with Fox Coilovers in the front, setup to lift the front by approx 1.5"...will be close to level...My truck has the Ramboxes and BUG and may be a bit heavier in the rear than most...doesnt have a ton of rake from the factory.

I realize the 34's will fit in the rear, but will there be times when the suspension is at its max travel (springs compressed) that the 34's will dig into the rear wheel liners? Would it be a good idea to add the ORP springs? Do I need that 1" of lift in the back?

You’ll be fine. 275/65s fit front and rear on the stock setup without issue.

No issues whatsoever, just installed the same size.

This is a 2” Mopar lift (fox shocks) on 34” tires. Not rubbing on the fenders but tire caught the inside edge of the Kickback. Lowest estimate was $1100. It honestly looks like I can trim the flaps back slightly with the plasma and shouldn’t happen again. not saying don’t do it, just make sure the clearances are there.

I specifically asked the salesman if ther tires would rub and was assured the lift kit and the kickbacks would prevent it

What offset and width are those wheels? Also how wide of a tire? I ran 275/65 on 20x9 +10 offset with zero issues.

They’re 295/65/20 Toyo ATII on 10” rims, not much for offset, not sure which though as they were on the truck when I bought it. The tires are listed as 35” but when I measure (back with an empty box) they are 34”.

They don’t rub the fender but just catch one piece on the kickbacks, but I’m pretty sure trimming 1/2” or so with the plasma cutter will prevent recurrence.

I actually ended up taking pieces out of the Mopar lift (rear) as the rake was over 1-1/2” difference front to back. I argued with Dodge about the kit, but they swear all the front end pieces are there despite the obvious height difference. I’m going with a BDS lift in the spring. I was debating going with Bilstein 5100s in the front and putting the pieces back in the rear to get it higher and level, but was advised against it.

The Mopar lift doesn’t level the truck. It’s a 2” lift all around. The updated kit and Offroad package front springs does bring it pretty close. Many people here have ran it like that without issue.

How do you tell if you have the updated kit? And I wasn't aware you could put the ORP springs into this kit. That might work alot better than pulling it out and putting a 4" lift in

The updated kit has an extra spacer underneath the spring seat. If you can see it sticking out, it’s the newer kit. It’s intended to help lessen the rake. Combined with ORP springs it’s under an inch of rake.

Any chance you have a pic of yours or can you confirm what I’m looking at?

I don't have any pictures as I don't have the Mopar lift. You are looking in the right area. Just underneath where the spring is seated, and a little above where the X in FOX is, you would be able to see a black ring spacer that is intended to give another .5" to .75" of lift to help lessen the rake. Between that spacer and ORP springs people are getting very close to level. Somebody with the Mopar lift please correct me if I'm wrong.

I looked a lot into getting the Mopar lift so I researched it heavily. I actually ordered the lift and the ORP springs but the lift was on backorder. Called a local shop who was able to get the 4" BDS kit in the next day so I went with that instead. Then when I pick my truck up I find out BDS messed up and sent parts for the 6" kit instead so that is what I have now.
