Is S&B ever going to release their intake for the 3.0 SST?

Anyone care to speculate how much longer they are going to drag out the release for their intake for the 3.0 SST? Their site used to say releasing by the end of June and now it says summer of 2025.

Last I saw on FB where someone chatted with them, there was a supplier issue with the filter media and end of July was the new estimated date.

I sent an inquiry to them last week and they replied that the release would be in two weeks. So we will see if they release it the week of July 14.

Well that didn’t last very long. Now they are saying end of August or sometime in September. I’m not going to bother waiting for them. Ordered a drop in filter from AFE and called it a day.

Now they say "Shipping Fall 2025". I'm waiting, but getting very impatient!!!

There is a post on Facebook about this today, and three different people have reported that they have three different release dates from s&b ranging from October to December.

If this is the kind of transparency to expect from them then I would skip buying from them. Just imagine if you had a warranty issue with the intake?

I signed up for email notifications at the end of October, and received a marketing email about it on December 3rd. When I hopped on the site, it was available for purchase and so I ordered it the same day. Unfortunately, despite no mention (that I recall seeing) of it being in backorder/production status, the order seemingly went through as if it was in stock. I checked the site about a week later and the intake was listed as out of stock/backordered. When I inquired ~2-3 weeks later why I hadn't received an update, I was told my order simply secured my spot in the initial production batch. I was told to expect shipment in mid-January. Fingers crossed.

I've had S&B products in the past and they're great quality. Once prodded about it, their customer service was also very responsive, transparent, and apologetic. I think this more so falls on their marketing. It could just be an honest mistake. To be fair, even if it was listed as backorder, I still would have placed the order, so I guess for me personally it's kind of a moot point.
