I am having 295/60/20 added today. The truck (22 1500) came with 275/55/20. Do I NEED to recalibrate? I have looked it up on tacomaworld to get the difference, but I am more questioning for shifting? Anyone with experience in those sizes?

Don’t have to …. Good if you can …. Going from 32” to 34”

I can't tell a difference at all in driving it. I will most likely go ahead and get the tuner from rough country though, my OCD wont let me...

You don’t need the RC device. If you have an iPhone all you need is the jscan app, a OBDII code reader and a SGW bypass cable. $60 vs $200

I have decided I want to do it. What are the real world user opinions on what to get to do it with?

I have to do the same thing, is there any benefit to having the dealer do it and have them add the size to the VIN?

For newer fca vehicles the witech no longer gives you the ability. Has to be aftermarket

Get AlfaOBD, OBD2 port, and a security bypass for $100 and you can do it yourself. You'll need an Android or Windows device. Once you have that setup, you can change a bunch of settings on your truck.
